2016 West Melton School Scholarship

The 2016 West Melton School Scholarship was awarded to Rebecca Henderson this Friday July 1.  Rebecca is studying in her final year of a Batchelor of Physical Education at Otago University, majoring in Exercise Prescription and Management.

Rebecca is an active volunteer in community and sports activities where she studies in Dunedin, being involved in several team sports, coaching and health promotion.  Rebecca has her sights set on becoming a Primary School Teacher after completing the PE degree, “[putting my] additional skills and experiences I have learnt throughout my degree”.

Rebecca impressed the selection panel, with her volunteer record, improving grades and the application of Maori culture to her work.  Pictured below is Rebecca receiving the award from Dianne Brown at West Melton School on last Friday.  Congratulations Rebecca!
